Titanium Wire

BYC Ti Titanium Wire Factory manufactures high-quality titanium wire in thin diameters through a precise production process using premium titanium raw materials. Our nickel titanium wire is available in various forms, including spools, pre-cut TIG rods, and full-length bars. For TIG welding, the titanium wire is typically cut into 36-inch lengths and comes in standard welding rod sizes.

Required Acceptance Tests of Titanium Wire

  • Appearance Inspection: Observe visually to ensure that the surface of the titanium wire is smooth, and there are no issues such as scratches, oxidation, or uneven thickness.

  • Diameter Measurement: Use a micrometer to measure multiple times at different positions to check if it conforms to the standard specifications.

  • Tensile Test: Load according to the regulations on a tensile testing machine to detect the elongation rate and tensile strength.

  • Torsion Test: Fix one end and twist the other end to check the number of twists it can withstand and whether there is any breakage.

Applications of Titanium Wire

Titanium wire’s unique properties—including corrosion resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio, biocompatibility, and shape memory capabilities—make it indispensable across industries such as aerospace, medical, chemical processing, automotive, and consumer goods. With over 80% of titanium wire being used in welding applications and a growing demand in advanced sectors like additive manufacturing and medical implants, it remains in short supply, highlighting its critical role in modern technology. Its versatility and superior performance ensure that titanium wire will continue to drive progress in high-performance applications worldwide.
